We perform Glenn Miller, Buddy Rich, Benny Goodman, Frank Sinatra, Michael Buble, Count Basie, Big Bad Voo Doo Daddy, Brian Setzer, Ella Fitzgerald, Herb Alpert, Sammy Nestico, Stan Kenton, Arrangements by Canadian songwriters and arrangers.
The Beginning…
We started off with a good bunch of musicians starting on September 14, 2005 with about 14 players and 5 charts. It was a safe environment to practice and keep all of our chops at their best. Which is the same motto we keep today!
The band rehearses monthly on Wednesday night, trying out new charts, newly written arrangements, and playing to the public. (Check Home Page for upcoming events)
The Musicians
Most of the musicians in the band happen to be Mohawk College, McMaster, Humber students/graduates but also very musical community members interested in playing and keeping big band music alive.
